Noted journalist Pranab Kumar Borah passes away
Nagaon (Assam), Aug 24: Veteran journalist Pranab Kumar Borah today passed away at his residence at Morikolong on Monday, family sources said.
He was 63 and is survived by wife, a son and a daughter. Borah was associated with prominent Assamese daily Dainik Janambhumi, The Sentinel Group, Doordarshan and Bishmoi, the sources said.

He was the pioneer in arranging the first Book Fair of the state held at Nagaon in 1978.
His body was taken to Nagaon Press Club before cremation.
Former chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta, minister Rockybul Hussain, former MLA Girindra Kumar Borooah and others condoled his death describing Borah as an uncompromising journalist who always fought for justice.
