Not my India says A R Rehman on Gauri Lankesh murder

He was speaking at the premier of his upcoming film, "One heart: The A R Rehman Concert Film."

Not my India, music maestro, A R Rehman said on the killing of journalist Gauri Lankesh. If incidents such as this continue to happen in the country, then this is not my India, he said.

Gauri Lankesh was earlier this week shot dead by unidentified assailants at her home in Bengaluru. Rehman said that he was extremely pained by the incident. I am so sad about that and I hope these things do not happen in India, he also said.

If such incidents continue to happen in India, then it is not my India, he further said. He also added that he wanted India to be progressive and kind.

He was speaking at the premier of his upcoming film, "One heart: The A R Rehman Concert Film." The film is based on Rahman's concert tour across 14 North American cities. It also includes video interviews of Rahman and his band members and rehearsal sessions, giving a sneak peek into the lesser known world of Rahman as a person.
