Not Even A Single Student Passed! Nainital School Delivers 0% Passing Result In Class 10 Board Exams

A school of Nainital delivered shocking and worrying Class 10 board exam results, as no student passed the examination. A government higher secondary school situated in Bhadrakot witnessed a complete failure, which exposed the standard of education provided by the state government.

This unfortunate outcome has led to the initiation of an investigation by educational authorities. The situation is particularly notable as this institution is the only government school in the state to have a zero pass percentage in the recently announced results on April 19.

Uttarakhand Board Class 10 Exams

The school, which provides education in various subjects including arts, mathematics, science, Hindi, English, and social sciences, found itself in this predicament with just one student appearing for the class 10 board exams. Regrettably, this lone student was unable to pass any of the subjects. This incident has cast a shadow over the school's academic reputation and has prompted a response from the education department. "I will investigate the matter, and action will be taken accordingly," said Nainital Chief Education Officer Govind Jaiswal when approached for a comment on the matter.

Adding to the concern is the school's staffing situation. It had been staffed with seven teachers across the mentioned subjects. However, the arts teacher was recently transferred, leaving a gap in the school's faculty. This staffing issue might contribute to the broader challenges faced by the school in delivering quality education.

Reflecting on the school's enrolment numbers provides additional context to the issue. Last year, the school had a total of seven students enrolled across classes six to 10. This included two students each in classes six and seven, and one student each in classes eight, nine, and ten. These numbers indicate not only the small size of the school's student body but also the significant pressure on the lone tenth grader who represented the school in the state board exams.
