Noida: Unemployed Engineer Commits Suicide, Live-In Partner Under Suspect
A 27-year-old engineer named Mayank Chandel has reportedly died by suicide in Noida. He left a note explaining his mental stress due to unemployment and taunts from his live-in partner. The police have sent his body for a post-mortem examination.
Chandel, originally from Jalalabad in Uttar Pradesh's Shahjahanpur, had been in a relationship with a woman from Banda for seven years. They had been living together for four years near Shaurya Banquet Hall in Noida's Sector 73.

Unemployment and Relationship Strain
While Chandel struggled to find employment, his partner worked at a private firm. His suicide note mentioned that her constant remarks about his joblessness and lifestyle added to his stress. Despite these issues, he did not hold anyone responsible for his decision.
On Friday evening, Chandel's partner discovered him hanging from a fan upon returning home from work. She immediately contacted the police, who arrived from Sector 113 police station to investigate the situation further.
Police Investigation Underway
The authorities have informed Chandel's family about the incident. An investigation is ongoing to gather more details about the circumstances leading up to this tragic event.
The case highlights the severe impact of unemployment and relationship pressures on mental health. It serves as a reminder of the importance of addressing mental health issues and providing support to those in need.
