Noida Police Officer Caught Accepting Bribe on Video, Arrested
A policeman was suspended and subsequently arrested along with another man after a video surfaced showing the head constable allegedly accepting a Rs 2,000 bribe, officials stated on Friday. The video, which emerged on social media recently, was reportedly recorded on July 9. Both the policeman and the civilian were detained following the video's investigation.

Upon thorough examination, it was discovered that the police official in the video is Head Constable Rahul Kumar. He was serving as a court clerk at the office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police/Special Executive Magistrate II in Sector-6, according to a police spokesperson. The individual seen giving the bribe in the video was identified as Vicky, son of Mahesh Chand, a resident of Khoda Colony in Ghaziabad district.
Bribery Incident Details
The video depicts Vicky handing over Rs 2,000 to Rahul Kumar in exchange for some personal favour, with Kumar accepting the bribe, the police spokesperson confirmed. Following this revelation, Head Constable Rahul Kumar has been suspended from his duties. Both individuals were arrested on July 9, and a case has been registered against them at Phase 1 police station.
The FIR was lodged under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act, an official added.
