Noida Metro Rolls Out UPI Payment Facility For Counter Tickets
For passengers finding themselves without exact change when purchasing tickets for the Noida Metro, a significant solution has emerged. The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) has introduced a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) payment feature at all stations along its rail network, marking a substantial convenience enhancement. The inauguration of this service took place on Thursday, with Lokesh M, the Managing Director, inaugurating the UPI payment provision at the Sector 51 metro station.
The implementation of the UPI payment facility for acquiring tickets through counters has been fully realized across the Noida-Greater Noida Metro corridor, according to an official from NMRC. This expansion aligns with the NMRC's continuous efforts to enhance customer convenience and modernize their services.

It's important to note that alongside this new UPI option, the traditional methods of purchasing tickets will remain available. This encompasses cash transactions, credit and debit card payments at the counters, as well as the utilization of the NMRC smart card through the customer care center at the various stations.
The Aqua Line, a project completed at an investment of Rs 5,503 crore, is a vital connection spanning 29.7 km and comprising 21 stations, effectively linking the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida in the Gautam Buddh Nagar region.
