Noida farmhouse scam: Mayawati gets a clean chit
According to the investigators, around 150 farmhouses of 10,000 square metre each were allotted to 120 companies and 29 individuals at meagre prices. The scam caused a loss of Rs 145 crores to the state exchequer.
Farm lands of many villages were acquired and allotted for building farmhouses. But law says such an aquisition is possible only for industrial purposes.
