No raid at CM's house, only routine vehicle check: Election Official

Puducherry, May 13: Rejecting reports of a raid at Chief Minister N Rangasamy's residence at nearby Thelarshpet, the Election Department today said it was only a routine check of vehicles.

"This type of checking is done on a routine basis and it cannot be dubbed as raid," a senior officer of the Elections Department, who did not wish to be named, told PTI.

Rangasamy was away campaigning for the May 16 Assembly polls when the election flying squad carried a search in the vehicle parked in his residence premises.
