External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said, "I would like to reiterate that there is no new development at the face-off site and its vicinity since the August 28 disengagement."

He was asked about a media report about Chinese military presence in areas close to Doklam. "The status quo prevails in the area and any suggestion to the contrary is incorrect and mischievous," said Kumar.

On the attack on Swiss couple, he said that the ministry believes in quick redressal of the issue and is in touch with the Swiss embassy.

A couple from Switzerland was allegedly chased and attacked with stones and sticks by a group of youths in Fatehpur Sikri on Sunday, leaving them battered and bruised.

Quentin Jeremy Clerc, 24, who came to India on September 30 with his girlfriend Marie Droz, also 24, were strolling near the railway station at the Fatehpur Sikri after a day in Agra when the group started following them and later attacked.

Meanwhile, ADG Ajay Anand told reporters that all the five accused involved in the attack have been arrested.
