No need to respond to irresponsible comments: Naidu
New Delhi, Oct 5: Union Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday said there was no need to respond to irresponsible comments and demands by the opposition on the surgical strikes by the Indian Army, and added that no Indian citizen doubted the army's commitment.
Speaking to reporters here on the sidelines of inauguration of a modern social infrastructure, the Urban Development Minister said: "There is no need to respond to such irresponsible comments and demands."

He said: "I don't think any other Indian citizen has any doubt about the credentials and commitment of our Indian Army."
"Army has done a commendable job and entire country is happy about it and entire world has also acknowledged it," he added, referring to the army's surgical strikes at seven terror launch pads across the Line of Control on the September 28-29 night.
Naidu said the Congress has already realised its mistake and distanced itself from such comments made by some of its leaders.
