No more grace marks, CBSE scraps moderation policy

The move comes after the board has asked the HRD ministry to help develop a consensus among all boards to do away with the marks moderation policy that led to inflated results during board exams scores. The CBSE however, made it clear that students who require grace marks to clear a paper will be awarded the same.

The sorting cut-offs for college admission may go down if all state boards agree to do away with moderation policies.
