No Confidence Motion Debate From August 8, PM Modi Likely To Reply On August 10
The No Confidence Motion debate is scheduled to take place from August 8 to 10. The decision was made at the Lok Sabha Business Advisory Committee meeting, which was boycotted by the Opposition. The Opposition demanded an immediate discussion on the motion, but the date was finalized in their absence, leading to claims by some leaders.
During the Business Advisory Committee meeting, the Opposition had initially requested the government to address the no-confidence issue promptly. However, the government insisted on prioritizing bills. This disagreement led the opposition MPs, led by Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, to stage a walkout in response. As per reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to respond to the motion on Friday afternoon.
