Nitish Kumar performs puja at temples
Patna, Oct 9 Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today performed puja at various temples in the state capital on the occasion of 'Mahaashtami' of Navratra festival and prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of Bihar and its people.
Accompanied by the JD(U) Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chandra Prasad Singh, his party MLC Lalan Saraf and senior officials, Kumar visited Shitala Mata Mandir in Agamkuan locality and Badi Patandevi and Chhoti Patandevi temples in Patna City where the priests performed hymns to help the Chief Minister perform prayers on the auspicious occasion.
Kumar also visited Shri Badi Deviji Temple and Shri Shri Dalhatta Deviji temples located in Maroofganj area where he paid obeisance to the Goddess Durga.
The Chief Minister prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of Bihar and its people during prayers on the festival occasion, an official release from the Chief Minister's office said.
