Nitish Kumar Is Free To Decide...: Samrat Chaudhary On Lalu Yadav's 'Doors Are Open' Statement

Hours after Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad tried to laur Janata Dal-United chief stating that doors of his party were always open for Nitish Kumar, Bihar BJP chief and newly picked deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said Nitish ji is free to decide whether he wants to continue within the NDA or joins hands back with the Mahagathbandhan.

Samrat Chaudhary said, "Nitish Babu (Kumar) has to decide whether he wants to remain in alliance with the BJP or Rashtriya Janata Dal. It is for Nitish Kumar to decide, and not Lalu Prasad Yadav. Nitish Kumar has given his views, and a clear message has been sent to the people of Bihar."

Nitish Kumar And Samrat Chaudhary

"It's evident that the two epitomize corruption and are detrimental to Bihar. One plundered the people of Bihar, while the other plundered the nation," Samrat Chaudhary said.

Earlier today, replying to a question on whether Lalu Yadav's party will accept Nitish Kumar, RJD chief said "Let him come back. Then we will see (jab aaenge tab dekha jaaega)".

Both the stalwarts shook hands warmly inside the Vidhan Sabha premises on Thursday.

On the other side, former Bihar Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav joined Congress' Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and was spotted with Rahul Gandhi in a jeep in Sasaram district.

The state witnessed a huge political drama in the last couple of weeks as JDU dumped Mahagathbandhan to join hands with BJP. Nitish Kumar-government also passed the floor test in a dramatic way as a few members of the RJD switched sides at the last moment and backed the JDU fraction.
