NIRF Rankings 2018: Top 25 Engineering Colleges which made it to the list

The other top engineering institutes which figure in the list after IIT Madras are IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi.

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has announced the India rankings 2018 of National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). The rankings have been released by Union Human Resource Development Minister Prakash Javadekar on Tuesday (April 3). IITs ruled the Engineering Rankings this year as well.

IIT Madras, which was ranked as top engineering college in 2018, was ranked as the best engineering institute even in 2017 and 2016. The other top engineering institutes which figure in the list after IIT Madras are IIT Bombay and IIT Delhi. IIT Kharagpur which ranked third last year, slipped down one rank below. Other than IITs, Chennai's Anna University at number 8 and Institute of Chemical Technology in Mumbai at number 10 were the only institutes which managed to find a place in the top 10.

As many as 4000 institutes have participated in the NIRF 2018 Indian Ranking exercise and the results are out.
