NIA DG, J&K Police Chief Discuss Terror Activities, New Adversary Network
NIA Director General Dinkar Gupta met with Jammu and Kashmir Police chief R R Swain to discuss ongoing terror investigations, action plans, and strategies to combat terrorism and disrupt new national security threats in the region.
Jammu, February 29: In a significant development, the Director General of the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Dinkar Gupta, met with the Jammu and Kashmir Police chief, R R Swain, on Thursday in Jammu. The meeting focused on addressing terror-related activities, including the emergence of a new network of national security adversaries within the Union territory.

Discussions on Ongoing Investigations
Accompanied by NIA Inspector General Vijay Sakhare and Deputy Inspector General Amit Kumar, Gupta visited the police headquarters in Jammu. The officers engaged in detailed discussions regarding updates on ongoing investigations of terror crime cases. They deliberated on action plans to ensure that these cases are brought to a logical conclusion, leaving no stone unturned in the pursuit of justice.
Exchange of Ideas on Terrorism
During the interaction, the officers present, including Additional Director General of Police Police Headquarters M K Sinha, ADGP Armed and Law and Order Vijay Kumar, IGP B S Tuti, DIG of State Investigation Agency Ajeet Singh Salaria, and SSP of NIA, Jammu Sandeep Choudhary, exchanged valuable insights and ideas related to terrorism. They delved into the intricacies of the terrorist-separatist ecosystem and analyzed the strategies employed by national security adversaries in Jammu and Kashmir to sustain Pakistan-sponsored anti-India campaigns.
Enhancing Cooperation and Coordination
Recognizing the crucial role of information sharing and expertise in combating terrorism, the officers emphasized the need to improve upon existing levels of cooperation. They formulated plans to strengthen their collaborative efforts, ensuring a more effective response to terror-related threats. Additionally, they discussed matters pertaining to training, monitoring of court cases, and deputation of personnel, aiming to enhance overall coordination and efficiency.
