NIA charges Lashkar terrorist

The NIA has filed a chargesheet against Mohammad Amir a Lashkar-e-Tayiba terrorist. In its chargesheet, the NIA says that he had illegally infiltrated into India from Pakistan.

He had carried with him arms, ammunition, navigation and communication equipment with an intention of carrying out a major terror strike in different parts of India, including Delhi. He was acting on the behalf of his handlers, the NIA also said.

The NIA says that Amir was a trained member of the Lashkar-e-Tayiba and had been arrested on November 24 2017 at Magam, Handwara. His three associates were killed in an encounter with security forces.
