Demonetisation- New Rs 500 note released
All those visiting banks can avail the new Rs 500 note. However like the Rs 2,000 note the new Rs 500 note will not be available in ATMs immediately.
The government has launched the new Rs 500 note. The announcement was made just a while ago and the notes will be available in banks across the country.
All those visiting banks can avail the new Rs 500 note. However like the Rs 2,000 note the new Rs 500 note will not be available in ATMs immediately.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had said yesterday it would take two to three weeks before ATMs start dispensing the news Rs 500 and 2,000 notes. Banks are working on the new slots in their ATMs following which the new notes will be dispensed.

Meanwhile banks remained opened on Sunday as well. There were a large number of people outside the banks to withdraw as well as deposit cash. Many ATMs too across the country were working as well.
