New India Fears No Nuclear Threats: PM Modi Mentions JeM Commander's Azhar Family 'Torn Into Pieces' Remark

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday hailed the success of Operation Sindoor and said that "New India" is not afraid of nuclear threats.

Addressing a gathering in Madhya Pradesh's Dhar, he said, "The nation gives utmost priority to the security of Mother India. Pakistani terrorists removed the Sindoor of our sisters and daughters. We did Operation Sindoor and destroyed terror camps.

Our brave armed forces brought Pakistan to its knees within the blink of an eye. Just yesterday, the nation and the world witnessed another Pakistani terrorist tearfully narrate his ordeal. This is a new India. It fears no one's nuclear threats..."

It comes a day after a video went viral where JeM Commander Masood Ilyas Kashmiri is seen claiming that the Indian Army tore the family of Masood Azhar's family into pieces during Operation Sindoor, which was launched by India to eliminate terrorist infrastructure deep inside Pakistan.

In a viral video quoted by the publication, Kashmiri is reported to have said in Urdu, "Embracing terrorism, we fought Delhi, Kabul and Kandahar to protect the borders of this country. After sacrificing everything, on May 7, Maulana Masood Azhar's family was torn apart by Indian forces in Bahawalpur."

This operation, which took place on May 7, saw India hit nine terrorist infrastructure targets in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir and Pakistan, killing over 100 terrorists in retaliation for the deadly April 22 attack in Pahalgam. It was reported that at least 10 family members of Azhar were killed in the attack, including his wife.

Also, Pradesh, Prime Minister Modi made a series of announcements and appeals focused on the economy and Swadeshi. He announced, "From September 22, the GST reduction will come into effect, just from the first day of Navratri. We should buy only Swadeshi products and take advantage of this. We must remember one mantra, and I want it to be written in every shop. I will also urge state governments to run a campaign proudly declaring, 'yeh swadeshi hai'..." He framed this initiative within a larger historical and national context, stating, "Mahatma Gandhi made Swadeshi a means of freedom; now we have to make Swadeshi the foundation of a 'Viksit Bharat'..."

The Prime Minister made an earnest request to the nation, saying, "At this time, you must continuously repeat the mantra of 'Swadeshi' and bring it into your life. This is my earnest request to all of you, and my prayer to 140 crore countrymen. Whatever you buy should be made in India. Whatever you purchase should involve the sweat of some Indian. Whatever you buy should carry the fragrance of the soil of our India..."

He specifically appreciated the contributions of artisans and craftspeople, noting, "I want to specially appreciate all my Vishwakarma brothers and sisters across the country - carpenters, blacksmiths, goldsmiths, potters, weavers, coppersmiths, metalworkers, and all those who work with their hands. You are the real strength behind 'Make in India.' Your craftsmanship and skills fulfill the daily needs of villages and cities..."

On the textile industry, he outlined a clear vision, saying, "The textile industry is progressing with the 5F vision: from Farm to Fibre, Factory, Fashion, and Foreign markets. This will be achieved quickly and efficiently..."

Reflecting on the outcomes of his government's policies, PM Modi stated, "Because of working with dedication and a pure heart, the results of our policies are visible to the world today. Everyone present here will feel proud that due to continuous efforts over the past 11 years, 25 crore people in the country have been lifted out of the grip of poverty." He concluded with a forward-looking statement, saying, "The work we are engaged in today will become a great blessing for future generations. Even those who are yet to be born will benefit from it. If children are born healthy today, it will ensure their well-being in the future..."
