New Districts Announced For Ladakh By Home Ministry
The Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the creation of five new districts in the union territory of Ladakh, as stated by Home Minister Amir Shah on Monday.
In a post on X, Shah emphasized that the formation of these new districts will enhance governance across every corner of Ladakh, bringing the benefits directly to the people's doorsteps.

He credited this decision to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of building a developed and prosperous Ladakh.
The newly established districts are Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang.

"In line with Narendra Modi's vision for a developed and prosperous Ladakh, the MHA has decided to establish five new districts in the union territory. These districts-Zanskar, Drass, Sham, Nubra, and Changthang-will strengthen governance and deliver benefits directly to the people.
