New currency notes worth over Rs 95 lakh sezied in Hyderabad
During checking of the car, a total of amount of Rs 95,18,000 was found stashed in the bags, police said.
Hyderabad, Dec 2: Over Rs 95 lakh, in new currency notes of Rs 2,000, was seized from a cab during a vehicle checking drive in the city, police said on Thursday.
Five persons were seated in the car and upon suspicion, the vehicle was stopped at Himayatnagar for checking, they said.

During checking of the car, a total of amount of Rs 95,18,000 was found stashed in the bags, they said.
Those travelling in the car could not give a satisfactory reply about the cash and they were being questioned, police said, adding that the matter would be reported to Income Tax department for further investigations.
