New BJP office inauspicious, so the party to manage Lok Sabha elections from the old one
New Delhi, July 26: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will gradually shift all its Lok Sabha election-related activities from its sprawling and state-of-the-art office at 6 Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg to old office at 11, Ashoka Road. The BJP has already started some work from the Ashok Road office to gradually turn it into the election management office which is also called election war room.

Any election related decision from campaign strategy to ticket distribution will be taken from there only. Sources told One India when the work at the old office started that the party that managed to form government in many states besides winning 283 seats in 2014 Lok Sabha elections but it failed to manage seven seats to form the government in Karnataka. The victory in Karnataka slipped from the hands of the BJP.
The BJP somehow managed to retain Gujarat with less than 100 seats in the BJP's kitty in the Gujarat Assembly. It lost by-elections from UP CM's pocket-borough Gorakhpur, deputy CM's seat Phoolpur and communally-sensitive Kairana seats in Uttar Pradesh. All this had happened after the BJP shifted its new office to Deen Dayal Upadhyay Marg.
The party was concerned about these one after another debacles. Sources in the know how informed that Vastu of the new building was consulted not just once but thrice which was found faulty So the decision was arrived at that the old office building to be made election office. The source added that from ticket distribution to every election related activity will take place from there. However, the BJP leaders in charge of media have been constantly denying any such activities happening there.
Sources said that social media professionals will be hired to work from there. Some BJP workers from Delhi and surroundings areas have already started working and some more from Gujarat are expected to arrive very soon. IT professional's team will be entirely new as they would not have anything to do with the team working under the BJP IT Cell.
Sources said that there are some practical difficulties to work from the present headquarters of the BJP. The PM has to attend every election-related meeting and core committee and other such meetings and meeting related to policy matters where decisions related to elections will be taken so due to movement of the PM traffic has to stalled. This becomes a big traffic menace and inconvenience due to places' proximity with the New Delhi railway station. So the old office will be convenient.
