Neither Rightist Nor Leftist, Only Opportunists: Nitin Gadkari On Deteriorating Principles In Politics
Union Minister and BJP Stalwart Nitin Gadkari, who is also backed by the RSS, made an amusing remark on Tuesday highlighting a perceived trend where individuals who perform well in their roles often go unnoticed, regardless who is in power. Gadkari said this happens in every party. Conversely, those who fail to meet expectations frequently avoid repercussions.
"I always say this jokingly that no matter which party's government it is, one thing is sure, that the one who does good work never gets respect and those who do bad work are never punished," PTI quoted Nitin Gadkari.

Gadkari raised a flag against opportunistic leaders who just want to be in power regardless with whom they have to join hands with. The Union Minister emphasized that there are politicians who are firmly grounded in their principles, and ideology and their numbers are decreasing gradually.
"There are people who stand firm with conviction based on their ideology, but the number of such people is declining. And this deterioration in ideology, which is happening, is not good for democracy," Nitin Gadkari said.
Gadkari added, "Neither rightist nor leftist, we are known opportunists, some people write like this. And all want to remain associated with the ruling party."
