NEET UG 2025 Topper Keshav Mittal Claimed By Multiple Coaching Centres, Sparks Social Media Debate

A video currently making the rounds on social media has sparked controversy surrounding NEET UG 2025 topper Keshav Mittal, with several coaching institutes simultaneously claiming him as their student.

The footage shows leading centres such as Allen, Motion NEET, and Narayana each allegedly crediting themselves with Mittal's success, declaring him the All India Rank (AIR) 7 holder in this year's NEET UG examination.

The conflicting claims have ignited a wave of scepticism and amusement online.

Keshav Mittal, a 17-year-old from Barnala district in Punjab, achieved AIR 7 in his first attempt, scoring 680 out of 720.

He is also the highest-ranked candidate from Punjab.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET UG 2025 results on 14 June, with over 22.7 lakh candidates having appeared for the fiercely competitive medical entrance test.

Adding fuel to the debate, another social media post mirrored the same concerns, tagging prominent media outlets and questioning the veracity of the claims.

The caption read: "#NEET2025 One student at #AIR7 KESHAV MITTAL is being claimed by @allenkota, @MotionKota & @narayanacoach - three different coaching institutes. Can someone verify?"

The multiple assertions by rival coaching institutions have raised concerns over the credibility and ethics of promotional tactics in India's cutthroat test preparation industry.

"Only Keshav can answer this question, and in the era of social media, it is possible to answer it," one user commented.

Offering some clarity, another user suggested: "this student was a regular classroom student in one coaching, and he had joined the test series in another coaching centre."
