NEET UG 2025: All You Need To Know About BDS And BVSc Admission Updates

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a new notification for admissions through the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2025. The notice confirms that the NEET UG 2025 scores and merit lists will continue to be the basis for admissions to BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) and BVSc & AH (Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry) courses, just as in previous years, as per an NDTV report.

The official notification clarifies, "In continuation of the Public Notice dated 16 January 2025 on the mode of conduct of NEET (UG)-2025, it is clarified that, in addition to the courses mentioned in the Public Notice dated 16 January 2025, NEET (UG)-2025 scores and merit lists will also apply for admissions to BDS and BVSc & AH courses, as followed in the past, in accordance with the rules governed by the respective regulatory bodies."

Candidates interested in appearing for NEET UG 2025 are advised to refer to the detailed Information Bulletin for more information. The bulletin will be available on the official NTA website (www.neet.nta.nic.in) when the application process begins. The notification further assures that this will provide all the necessary details about the exam and application process.

Earlier, the NTA confirmed that NEET UG 2025 will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode, held on a single day and in a single shift.

The NTA has also issued an important reminder for candidates to link their Aadhaar number with a valid mobile number for OTP-based authentication during the application process. It is also advised that candidates update their Aadhaar details to match their Class 10 marksheet or passing certificate.

NEET UG serves as the entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses in India, including MBBS, BDS, and BVSc & AH, and is the gateway to admission to prestigious institutions like AIIMS, JIPMER, and various government medical colleges across the country.
