NEET Retest Results Announced, Toppers Tally Dwindle To 61

The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the retest for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET late on Sunday night. The re-examination was conducted for 1,563 students who had previously been given grace marks due to lost time during their initial examination on May 5.

Out of the 1,563 eligible candidates, 813 appeared for the re-examination held at seven centers in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Haryana, and Meghalaya on June 23. None of these 813 candidates scored full marks in the retest, reducing the number of toppers from 67 to 61, according to officials.

Students who skipped the retest will retain their original scores without the grace marks. Among the 813 candidates who retook the test, six from Haryana had previously scored a perfect 720 out of 720 marks, but none of them achieved full marks in the re-examination, a government official reported.

"It is now informed that revised Score Cards of all Candidates of NEET(UG) 2024 (including 1563 Candidates who appeared in the Re-Test on 23 June 2024), are being hosted on the website (https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/).
