NEET Re-Exam 2026: Students Complain Of Refund Verification Glitch During Admit Card Download

Fresh concerns have emerged around the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) 2026 re-examination after several candidates alleged that technical glitches on the National Testing Agency (NTA) portal disrupted the admit card download process.

The issue surfaced just a day after the NTA released admit cards for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21, 2026. Aspirants claimed that a refund verification process linked to bank details created confusion and, in some cases, appeared to remove or reset previously submitted information.

The complaints have once again brought the functioning of the NTA portal under scrutiny at a time when students are preparing for one of the country's most important entrance examinations.

Students Raise Concerns Over Refund Verification Process

Several NEET aspirants took to social media platforms to highlight what they described as a misleading and inconvenient refund verification system. According to students, the portal asked them to verify or update their bank account details before allowing them to proceed with downloading their admit cards.

Some candidates alleged that even though they had already provided their banking information during an earlier stage of the process, they were asked to repeat the verification.

One student claimed that if candidates chose not to edit or re-enter their bank details in order to quickly access their admit cards, the portal displayed a message suggesting that they had "agreed not to provide details for refund." This, students argued, created unnecessary confusion and anxiety.

Many aspirants questioned why the refund process had been linked to admit card access at such a crucial stage of the examination schedule.

Candidates Report Missing Bank Details

According to complaints shared online, some candidates noticed that their previously submitted bank account information no longer appeared on the portal. They alleged that the technical issue forced them to re-enter details before moving ahead.

Students expressed concern that such glitches could lead to errors in the refund process and add to the stress already associated with preparing for the re-examination.

Many also appealed to the NTA to simplify the process and ensure that technical problems do not affect candidates' ability to download essential examination documents.

The controversy began shortly after the NTA activated the admit card download link on Sunday evening for candidates appearing in the June 21 NEET-UG re-examination.

The re-test is being conducted following allegations of question paper leaks and other irregularities related to the original NEET-UG examination held on May 3, 2026. As a result, thousands of students are already dealing with uncertainty and additional preparation for the fresh examination.

The latest portal issues have further increased concerns among candidates and parents.
