NEET-PG 2024 Exam Postponed

"Taking into consideration, the recent incidents of allegations regarding the integrity of certain competitive examinations, the Ministry of Health has decided to undertake a thorough assessment of the robustness of processes of the NEET-PG Entrance Examination, conducted by the National Board of Examination for medical students," reads the ministry's tweet.

Reacting to the eleventh hour decision, Indian National Congress said, "Now the NEET-PG exam has also been cancelled. This exam was to be held tomorrow. Earlier, UGC-NET exam was also cancelled due to paper leak. The youth of the country are already protesting on the streets regarding NEET."

"Modi Government-Paper Leak Government has been formed," the grand old party said.

Senior party leader Pawan Khera said "NEET PG exam which was supposed to be held tomorrow has been postponed tonight...This government is not able to conduct exams. This government has completely lost its trust among the youth. The Education Minister who was giving a clean chit to NTA 4 days ago, is now removing the Director General of NTA. Who is responsible for the exams? Who is being saved? When will this investigation happen? When will this government be able to get the exam done properly? People are not getting answers to these questions..."

Earlier today, Bihar Police's Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has obtained NEET reference question papers to compare these with documents recovered during a search operation last month from a flat here and is also exploring the "possibility of conducting narco analysis and brain mapping tests" of accused in the case, sources said on Saturday. They also indicated that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) might investigate the money laundering aspect of the alleged irregularities in the medical entrance examination -the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (Undergraduate) or NEET, conducted by the National Testing Agency in May.
