The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially commenced the counselling process for undergraduate medical courses based on the NEET UG 2024 results. Candidates who have successfully cleared the entrance exam can now register for counselling to secure admissions in MBBS, BDS, and BSc (Nursing) courses. Registrations are being conducted through the MCC's official website.
The registration period for Round 1, which began today, will be open until August 21. During this time, candidates can also access the choice filling and locking facility from August 16 to August 20. Seat allotment processing will take place from August 21 to August 22, with the results being announced on August 23.

Candidates who are allotted seats will need to report or join their respective institutions from August 24 to August 29. For those who join after the first allotment, verification will be conducted on August 30 and 31.
Round 2 of the registration process is scheduled for September 4 and 5. The seat allotment and verification for this round will occur from September 11 to 12, 2024, with the reporting or joining period for allotted candidates running from September 14 to September 20.
This counselling process is for approximately 1.10 lakh MBBS seats across around 710 medical colleges in the country. Additionally, it will cover 21,000 BDS seats, along with seats in Ayush and nursing programmes.
The MCC will handle counselling for the 15 per cent all-India Quota seats, as well as for 100 per cent seats at all AIIMS, JIPMER Pondicherry, central universities, and deemed universities.
