NEET 2017: SC wants list of qualifying students in vernacular languages
A petition had been filed by a group of students alleging that the question paper in the 8 vernacular languages was more difficult when compared to English and Hindi.
The SC while hearing a petition relating to NEET 2017 has asked for a list of qualifying medical students in vernacular languages. The directive was issued to the CBSE.

A petition had been filed by a group of students alleging that the question paper in the 8 vernacular languages was more difficult when compared to English and Hindi. The CBSE however rejected the allegations made by the petitioners. The matter has been listed next on August 8.
NEET 2017 was held on May 7. Several students especially from Tamil Nadu and West Bengal had complained that the question paper in their language was tougher when compared to English and Hindi.
Meanwhile the SC is hearing another plea in which the petitioner sought for the cancellation of NEET 2017. The petitioner alleged that the question paper had been leaked and hence a CBI inquiry be ordered.
