New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Chairman Amit Yadav felicitated stakeholders, including RWAs and market traders associations, on Friday, a day after it bagged the seventh rank under the cleanest cities category in the Centre's annual cleanliness survey.
NDMC's Achievements in Swachh Survekshan 2023
The New Delhi area administered by the NDMC secured the seventh position in the cleanest cities category in the survey, with the results announced on Thursday. Indore and Surat were declared the cleanest cities in the country, while Navi Mumbai maintained its third position.
NDMC was honored with the All India Clean City seventh rank and recognized as the Cleanest City within Union Territory in the more-than-a-lakh-population category in the Swachh Survekshan 2023. Additionally, it received a five-star Garbage Free City ranking and Water Plus Certified City.
Yadav Emphasizes Collaboration and Citizen Participation
Addressing the gathering, Chairman Yadav highlighted NDMC's commitment to working with all stakeholders to ensure the cleanliness and greenery of the New Delhi area. He emphasized the significant contributions of every individual in achieving success in Swachh Survekshan.
