NCR Crime: Father Catches Son Stealing Money, He Burns Father Alive

A shocking crime incident was reported from NCR's Ajay Nagar Part 2 in Faridabad on Tuesday, where a 14-year-old boy allegedly set his father on fire. The incident occurred after the father, Mohammad Aleem, confronted his son over suspicions of theft. The police reported that the boy is currently in custody and undergoing questioning regarding the incident.

Riyazuddin, their landlord, recounted being awakened by Aleem's cries around 2 am. Upon attempting to reach the terrace where Aleem and his son resided, he discovered the door was locked. With assistance from a neighbour, Riyazuddin managed to access the terrace and found the room ablaze with Aleem trapped inside.

Details of the Incident

Tragically, Aleem succumbed to severe burns immediately after the door was opened. Meanwhile, his son managed to escape by leaping into a neighbouring house. The police suspect that in a moment of anger, the teenager poured flammable liquid on his father before igniting it.

Aleem had recently moved to Faridabad from Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh with his son last September. They rented a room on Riyazuddin's terrace. Aleem earned a living by collecting donations for religious sites and selling items like mosquito nets at weekly markets.
