NCP, Congress, Shiv Sena To Join Hands For Potential Transformation: Sharad Pawar

Taking a dig at the opposition, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar claimed that change in the state is possible if the NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena join hands together. This is the first time Pawar reacted after his nephew joined hands with Eknath Shinde.

While addressing an event, he said it was difficult to engage with the present state government in the presence of Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray and senior Congress leader Balasaheb Thorat.

"Currently, it is difficult to interact with the state government, I am sure, soon there will be a way out, once the dispute is resolved, then it will be binding on the government to assist the foundation in its research work."

He further stated that the NCP, Congress, and Shiv Sena (UBT) are vital constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the state, presenting a solid force for potential transformation.

It was for the first time since July 2, when the NCP split due to the revolt by Ajit Pawar, that leaders of all the three MVA allies shared the stage.

On July 2, Ajit Pawar and eight other NCP MLAs joined the Eknath Shinde-BJP government in the state.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan claimed NCP leader Ajit Pawar would be appointed as the state's chief minister replacing Eknath Shinde on 10 August. However, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis dismissed the Congress leader's claim and said that Eknath Shinde will continue to be the CM of Maha Yuti.
