NCP battle gets interesting as Supriya Sule looks for bigger role
The daughter of Sharad Pawar, Supriya Sule may assume a bigger role in the party following the events that unfolded on Tuesday is the buzz around the politics in Maharashtra.
Supriya Sule, who is a three time member of Parliament from Baramati is likely to get a bigger role in the party, even as her cousin announced that Sharad Pawar may reconsider his decision.

She appeared to be unfazed when her father announced his decision to step down as the chief of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP). One could see a sea an emotions that were expressed when Pawar decided to quit the post of president.
Pawar had in a recent interview indicated that his daughter was up for the big role in the party in the near future. She is more interested in national politics and working in Parliament. She had won the best Parliamentarian award as well. Each one has their own field of interest, Pawar had said.
Until now it is unclear who would head the NCP. While the senior Pawar has said that a committee would decide on who the next head would be, Ajit Pawar has said that Sharad Pawar may reconsider his decision on a day or two.
There are many leaders who Pawar has groomed to take over the NCP. There is own daughter Supriya Sule, his nephew Ajit Pawar and NCP chief Jayant Patil. All of them are now the frontline leaders of the NCP.
Over the years, it was said that Ajit Pawar was the frontline leader who would lead the party. However he made an unsuccessful bid to split the party.
