The NCC Special Entry Scheme allows eligible cadets from the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to join the Officers Training Academy (OTA) and undergo training to become commissioned officers in the Indian Army.

- Offered under the Short Service Commission (SSC), with the possibility of a permanent commission later.
- No requirement to clear the CDS exam; selection is through a direct SSB Interview.
NCC Special Entry 2025: Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the NCC Special Entry Scheme, candidates must meet specific eligibility conditions.
1. Educational Qualification
- A graduation degree (any discipline) from a recognized university with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in aggregate.
- Final-year students can also apply, provided they can produce proof of graduation by the given deadline.
2. NCC 'C' Certificate
- Candidates must possess an NCC 'C' Certificate with at least a 'B' grade, signifying active participation and training in the NCC.
3. Age Limit
- Applicants must be between 19 to 25 years old at the time of application.
4. Nationality
- Candidates must be Indian citizens or meet the nationality conditions specified by the Indian Army.
5. Physical Standards
- All applicants must fulfill the physical and medical standards set by the Indian Army.

NCC Special Entry 2025: Selection Process
The selection process includes multiple stages to ensure the best candidates are chosen.
1.Application Submission: Candidates must apply online through the Indian Army's official recruitment portal.
2.Shortlisting: Applications are reviewed based on academic performance and NCC achievements. Shortlisted candidates are invited for the SSB Interview.
3. SSB Interview: A five-day selection process conducted by the Services Selection Board (SSB), assessing mental, physical, and leadership qualities. Tests include Psychological Assessments, Group Discussions, Physical Activities, and Personal Interviews.
4. Medical Examination: Candidates who pass the SSB Interview undergo a medical examination to check if they meet the Army's fitness standards.
5. Final Merit List: A merit list is prepared, and selected candidates receive admission to the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
NCC Special Entry 2025: Training
Selected candidates undergo a 49-week training program at OTA, Chennai, focusing on leadership, military tactics, and physical endurance. Upon completion, they are commissioned as Lieutenants under the Short Service Commission (SSC) for an initial tenure of 10 years, extendable by four years, with an option for permanent commission based on performance.
