Nawaz Modi Singhania Accuses Estranged Gautam Singhania Of Assault, Citing 'Power And Control'

Nawaz Modi Singhania, the estranged wife of industrialist Gautam Singhania, has made disturbing claims of physical abuse against her husband. In an exclusive interview with India Today, Modi alleged that both she and her minor daughter, Niharika, were subjected to physical assault by Singhania.

The incident reportedly took place on the morning of September 10, following Singhania's birthday celebration the previous night. Modi detailed the alleged assault, asserting that Singhania attacked them for around 15 minutes, describing a relentless barrage of beating, smashing, kicking, and punching.

Recalling the harrowing experience, Modi expressed concerns about Singhania potentially returning with weapons, prompting them to move to a different room out of fear for their safety.

Modi revealed her physical vulnerabilities due to past surgeries, indicating that Singhania was aware of these conditions yet still subjected her to aggressive treatment. She attributed the assault to a struggle for control over the use of a particular bathroom, implying Singhania's desire for dominance and control.

Singhania declined to comment on these allegations, citing the privacy of his family and daughters in an email response.

Regarding their divorce settlement, reports suggest that Modi has demanded 75 percent of Singhania's alleged $1.4 billion net worth for herself and their two daughters. Singhania proposed establishing a family trust, with him as the sole managing trustee, but Modi reportedly finds this unacceptable.

Singhania had announced their separation on November 13, expressing his belief in pursuing different paths from Nawaz Modi Singhania. Their separation marked a shift after 32 years of companionship, during which they raised their daughters and faced recent challenging developments.

Singhania highlighted the spread of baseless rumors and gossip surrounding their lives, affirming their commitment to the well-being of their daughters despite parting ways.
