Nawab Singh Yadav's Brother Receives Bail Amid Ongoing Kannauj Rape Case Developments

A local POCSO court granted bail to Neelu Yadav, brother of rape accused Nawab Singh Yadav, on Friday. Neelu was charged with influencing the rape survivor's aunt to alter her statement. The decision followed a review of his bail application by special judge Alka Yadav, according to lawyer Rakesh Tiwari.

Bail Granted to Nawab Singh Yadavs Brother

Rakesh Tiwari argued that Neelu Yadav was wrongfully implicated. He stated that the victim did not mention Neelu in her FIR or any subsequent statements. Additionally, there were no financial dealings between Neelu and the victim's aunt or anyone else, he claimed.

Legal Proceedings and Evidence

During a four-hour police remand, no evidence was found against Neelu Yadav, leading to his bail approval. Meanwhile, Kannauj police chief Amit Kumar Anand confirmed that a charge sheet against Nawab Singh Yadav has been submitted in court.

Nawab Singh Yadav, a former Samajwadi Party block head, was arrested on August 12. He is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in Kannauj, Uttar Pradesh, under the guise of offering her employment.

Political Implications and DNA Evidence

The case has stirred political controversy. The ruling BJP claims Nawab Singh Yadav is linked to the Samajwadi Party. However, the party has distanced itself from him, stating he was expelled for anti-party activities years ago.

A report confirmed that Nawab Singh Yadav's DNA matched samples collected from the crime scene. This evidence further complicates the legal proceedings surrounding the case.

The developments in this case highlight ongoing legal and political challenges. The involvement of political figures has intensified scrutiny and debate around the incident.
