Navy Apprentice Recruitment 2024: Check Exam Dates And Important Details For 275 Vacancies

The Naval Dockyard Apprentices School (DAS), Visakhapatnam, under the Ministry of Defence (Navy), has released the notification for Navy Apprentice Recruitment 2024, according to the NDTV report. This recruitment aims to fill a total of 275 vacancies across various trades.

As per the official notification, candidates seeking reservation benefits for Ex-servicemen, including children of Ex-servicemen, must submit a 'Service and Release Certificate' issued by the competent authority. Children born after the release of the Ex-serviceman will also need a family/dependence certificate from the Zilla Sainik Board. Similarly, children of serving Armed Forces personnel must provide a service certificate issued by the concerned unit or office of their parents.

Important Dates

1. Written examination for all trades: 28 February 2025
2. Declaration of written exam results: 04 March 2025
3. Interview dates: 07 March 2025 to 12 March 2025

Selection Process

1. Shortlisting for Written Exam: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their SSC/Matriculation and ITI marks.
2. Written Examination: An OMR-based exam will consist of 75 multiple-choice questions in English.

The subjects include:

Mathematics: 30 questions
General Science: 30 questions
General Knowledge: 15 questions The duration of the exam is one hour.

Interview

Based on the merit of the written exam, candidates will be called for an interview in a 1:2 ratio per vacancy.

Stipend

Candidates with an ITI certificate will receive a stipend of Rs 7,700 for the first year and Rs 8,050 for the second year.
