Naveen Patnaik faces embarrassment over his tweet on actress Manimala Devi, here’s why

New Delhi, June 16: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday left red-faced following his tweet on Odia actress Manimala Devi.

Reportedly, Chief Minister took the twitter and expressed his condolence for 90-year-old Manimala Devi who was still alive.

"Saddened by news of the demise of doyen of Odia Cinema, Ms. Manimala Devi. May her soul rest in peace", CM tweeted.

Renowned actress of Odia Cinema, Devi is admitted in ICU in Bhubneshwar hospital. Reports say that she is critical and battling for life.

Later when Biju Janata Dal (BJD) chief Naveen Patnaik was informed that actress was still recuperating, he deleted the condolence tweet. Reportedly, the PRO to CM has admitted that it was a mistake.
