Naveen Patnaik is 'king', not 'sevak': Raghuvar Das
Bhubaneswar, Jun 16: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghuvar Das today dubbed his Odisha counterpart Naveen Patnaik as a "king" and not a "sevak" of the people.
"It is said that Naveen does not meet anybody after 8 pm. He should mingle with the people and understand their worries. However, Odisha chief minister's style is that of a king and not like a servant of the people," Das told reporters here at the sideline of a meeting of the National Executive of BJP ST Morchha.
"It appears that there is no government for tribals in Odisha," Das said.
The ruling BJD, however, rejected Jharkhand Chief Minister's remark on Naveen Patnaik. "It (Das's remark) is not acceptable.
The chief minister of a state should not utter such words against another chief minister," said BJD spokesman Amar Prasad Satpathy.
The BJD leader said Patnaik is well accepted by the people as their leader which have been proved time and again.
"We do not need Jharkhand CM's certificate," Satpathy said.
