New Delhi, Dec 18: Senior BJP leaders Subramanian Swamy has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to impose AFSPA in Delhi. Swamy demanded AFSPA in the backdrop of National Herald case proceedings which is scheduled on December 19, 2015.
In a series of Tweets, Swamy said that he is confident that both Sonia and Rahul Gandhi will go to jail in the Herald case.
"Today I am going to ask the PM to declare New Delhi district as disturbed and impose AFSPA for an orderly court proceeding in Patiala House", Swamy wrote on Twitter.

Sonia, Rahul will appear in a Delhi court on Saturday (Dec 19) in connection with the National Herald case. Swamy had alleged that both mother-son, as majority shareholders of Young India Ltd, benefited from the acquisition of Associated Journals Ltd.
Meanwhile, Congress has yet not opened its cards about party's next move on the case. Party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala earlier said, "We respect judicial process and we will submit ourselves to the majesty of the court process. The Congress president and the vice president have complete faith in the judicial process. They will be proceeding as per the advice by the lawyers".
Senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, who had represented the Gandhis in the court, steered clear of questions whether the Gandhis would apply for bail. "We cannot share our strategy. I have not spoken to anyone on the issue. I cannot speak on it".
