Rajasthan: Modi promises to return land
Pokhran, Nov 29: Narendra Modi, PM candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), reached Pokhran, Rajasthan on Friday, Nov 29. Friday was the last day for campaigning in the poll-bound state which is scheduled to hold its assembly elections on Sunday, Dec 1.

Modi, while addressing a rally, asserted that BJP will form the government in Rajasthan as well as in Delhi. The Gujarat CM also promised to return land to people of the state if BJP comes to power.

Speaking about development in Rajasthan, Modi said, "I want to ask people of Jaisalmer, who took your land?" Modi's statement might have shocked Congress.

"Development is possible, but except for vote bank politics, Congress does not want to do anything. I assure you that every inch of your land will be returned," said Modi while cornering the ruling Congress government-led by Ashok Gehlot.

Continuing his statement, Modi showed his confident in his fellow party colleague and BJP's CM candidate in Rajasthan. Modi said, "The government ruling in Jaipur does not care for you. They are not concerned about you. A government under Vasundhara Raje will be formed in Rajasthan. In Delhi too, a BJP government will be formed in 200 days."

The Gujarat CM also hailed former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee under whose government India had held the Pokhran nuclear test.

Speaking about Vajpayee, Modi said, "The entire world saw India's strength. With nuclear tests in Pokhran, the country showed the world that we are not going to bow down to anyone. We will not be scared."
