Some people are trying to mislead armed forces on OROP: Modi

New Delhi, Sept 6: After flagging off the Badarpur-Faridabad Metro Line on Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally and said 'Faridabad is in the list of Smart cities.'

Talking about the One Rank One Pension scheme, Modi said: "We made a promise and we are fulfilling it. We began work on OROP from Day 1 and took a decision."

People misleading armed forces: Modi

Modi added that some people want to create confusion. "Those who misled nation cannot ask questions. Those who did not act on OROP for 42 years have no right to ask questions, speak about rights of jawans," he said.

"There is nothing bigger than respect for the veterans and those who gave their life for the nation," Modi said.

Speaking on the Metro work, Modi said that the Metro will go further than Faridabad and that work has begun on the extension to Ballabhgarh.
