Narendra Modi meets Rajinikanth
Chennai, April 13: BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate and "poster boy" Narendra Modi on Sunday met Tamil superstar Rajnikanth at his Poes Garden residence in Chennai for a "personal meeting."

According to TV reports, "Modi maintained that it's a courtesy call on the eve of Tamil New Year."

Modi arrived at Meenambakkam Airport in Chennai in the evening, ahead of fifth phase of elections.

Modi is expected to ask the popular cine actor Rajinikanth for his endorsement for the party, as he has not only a huge fan following, but he is highly respected in Tamil Nadu.

Modi is expected to hold an election campaign rally at A M Jain College as part of his "Bharat Vijay rallies" in Chennai.

This is Modi's second election campaign in the southern state. Next week, he will address a public rally in Coimbatore to campaign for the regional parties, with whom the BJP has stitched an alliance.

Party's senior leaders like LK Advani and president Rajnath Singh are also likely to hit campaign trail in Tamil Nadu next week.
