Narendra Modi launches theme song '70 Saal Azadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani'

New Delhi, Aug 9 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday asked the BJP MPs to highlight the contributions of freedom fighters and martyrs among school children during fortnight-long celebrations of India's 70th Independence Day.

In a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party meeting, Modi also released a theme song '70 Saal Azadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani' for Tiranga Yatra being organised to mark the 70th anniversary of India's Independence from the British rule.

"Prime Minister has asked the party MPs to highlight the contributions of freedom fighters and martyrs among school children. He said the Yatra will spread the message of harmony and MPs needs to work hard to make it successful," Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar told reporters after the meeting.

Modi also urged party MPs to publicise the legislative work accomplished during the monsoon session of parliament so far, including the passage of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, Ananth Kumar said.
