Narendra Modi is more popular than Amitabh Bachchan on Facebook

In the Indian Film industry, Bollywood, when it comes to "who is the most popular actor", then, undoubtedly, the iconic and legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan is far ahead of the Khans and Kapoors.
But, if the comparison is between the two most popular stalwarts- Narendra Modi and Amitabh Bachchan- then, who grabs more popularity on the social networking website Facebook?
The official page of Modi shows 9,267,117 likes and 1,313,474 talking about this while Bachchan's official page shows 9,241,977 likes and 629,905 talking about this.
Modi is the first politician in India to use Google Plus.
So, now, the figures are enough to conclude that in the race of popularity, who is ahead of whom. Clearly, Modi has emerged as more popular than the most popular Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan.
BJP has also claimed that Modi's rising popularity on social media is an indication of his increasing popularity ahead of 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
However, on Twitter, Modi has 3.3 million followers while Amitabh has 7.88 million followers. But, Modi is the 'most followed politician' in India followed by Minister of State for Human Resource Development Shashi Tharoor, who has 2.07 million followers.
Modi joined Facebook and Twitter in 2009.
Besides, Modi is the first politician in India to use Google Plus.
