Narendra Modi in Iran to Boost Ties
Yesterday Prime Minister Narendra Modi left for a two day historic visit to Iran with an aim to rekindle a civilizational connect. PM on reaching Iran received red carpet welcome and he was received by Dr Ali Tayebnia, Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance.

Before leaving for Bhai Ganga Singh Gurudwara in Tehran PM had a brief chat with Iran's Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance at the airport.

At the Gurudwara PM addressed the Indian community and said that, "Animated by the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, we Indians make every country our home. It's a matter of great privilege to celebrate 350 anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh shortly."
PM Modi further added that, "Our new generation should learn from the central tenets of Guru Granth Sahib. I have noted several suggestions that have emanated from your community. Let us all work together to serve humanity." PM was presented with a saropa and a talwar.

Meeting with President Rouhani:
Prime Minister exchanged ideas with Iran's President Rouhani after receiving the ceremonial welcome. Post which they had a formal delegation level talks. Both PM Modi and President Rouhani then witnessed the two nations signing various agreements.
