Narendra Modi holds 10 bilateral meetings with African leaders

New Delhi, Oct 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held bilateral meetings with leaders of 10 African countries on the sidelines of the third India-Africa Forum Summit's (IAFS) final day on Thursday .

According to external affairs ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup, Modi met Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, Moroccan King Mohammad VI, Namibian President Hage G. Geingob, Malian president Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, Ethiopian prime Minister Hailemariam Dessalegn, Somalian President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud, Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz, Angolan Vice President Manuel Domingos Vicente, Tanzania Vice President Mohammad Gharib Bilal, and Comoros' President Ikililou Dhoinine.

Thursday's meetings followed 19 bilateral meetings Modi had with visiting African heads of state and government from African countries.

All 54 African countries were represented in the 2015 IAFS, with 41 heads of state and government, including two kings present.
