New Delhi, April 29: Gujarat model of development has been the USP of Narendra Modi's poll campaigning this Lok Sabha election. But, now he claimed that it should not be implemented in all states of the country, rather he emphasised that strength of every states should be considered first.

Speaking about Gujarat and its development, Modi was quoted as saying, "Gujarat was the first country to have provided 24x7, 365 days electricity. However, he stressed that the so called 'Gujarat model' could not and should not be applied in the whole of country and that it was important to tap every state's respective strength."

Speaking about his state, Modi also added, "The people realise that something good must have happened in Gujarat, so something good can happen in the whole country too. They feel if Gujarat can come out of Bhuj earthquake, the country can also come out of this terrible phase."

The people realise that something good must have happened in Gujarat: Modi

During an interview with TV news channel Zee News, Modi slammed Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

If we have to remove all things that are bad in this county, then we have to rid of the Congress. The Congress realises that their ship is sinking given the kind of voting that has taken place till now. They have no agenda, so they abuse me," he said.

Reacting against PM's statement, when Singh overruled reports of Modi wave in the country, the Gujarat CM said, If the PM could not see unemployment, inflation, corruption in ten years then how can he see Modi wave."
