Narendra Modi greets RSS on completing 90 years

New Delhi, Oct 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday greeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on completing 90 years of its existence.

"My greetings to all Swayamsevaks as the RSS completes 90 years in service of the nation," Modi said in a tweet.

The RSS, Bharatiya Janata Party's ideological parent, was founded on Vijaya Dashami on 27 September 1925 as a social organisation to provide character training through Hindu discipline and to unite the Hindu community.

It describes itself as a cultural outfit devoted to upholding Hindu values.
